What is AlphaSwap Perpetual Trading?

Perpetuals, perpetual trading, or perps are a special type of futures contract without an expiration date.
Futures trading allows users to enter positions on margin (leverage) using borrowed funds to optimize capital. Using leverage allows a user to enter a position with a larger size than their account balance. For example, a user could take 20x leverage and trade 200 WALEO for the price of 10 WALEO. In this example, the initial margin would be 10 WALEO which is used to collateralize the leveraged position.
AlphaSwap perpetual exchange is a novel LP-to-trader perpetual exchange on Aleo, offering up to 20x leverage. Utilizing LP pool liquidity and oracles, it ensures zero price impact, zero slippage, and deep liquidity. Oracles enable stable market operations during liquidations and stop-loss events, removing risks of position bankruptcy and LP pool fund loss. Users can open and close positions in one simple step, eliminating the need for additional accounts or deposits. The LP pool is also integrated into AlphaSwap to provide liquidity to the overall Aleo ecosystem. AlphaSwap users can swap using the liquidity from the LP pool.

Leverage Slider: Leverage is a trading mechanism. Traders can use it to increase their exposure to the market by allowing them to pay less than the full amount of the investment. In simple words, you borrow money to leverage your investment. Here, users can increase their trading size with leverage ranging from 1.1x to a maximum of 20x.
